Happy Feet Monster

My favorite color is ORANGE so when I came across the orange and purple challenge at Art Impressions I started looking at my Art impressions images that I could use for both colors.  My Feet set worked perfectly.   I wanted to create a fun birthday card so I used the sentiments from the Art Impressions Birthday Wishes set with my monster.  I stamped and colored a monster and one of the extra feet images. I fussy cut both images out. I cut the front of the card a little smaller  than the back and glued in my polka dot stripes on each side.

I die cut the feet which is a little bigger than the feet themselves out of the card front.  I stamped my sentiments with my Misti and adhered the monster while lining up the placement of the feet. I attached an Action Wobble to the feet so they would pop through the front of the card.

My Monster now celebrates by wiggling his feet.

Fairy Princess

I love making cards for kids so the challenge at Lawn Fawn this time was right up my alley. I looked through my Lawn fawn stamps and decided to use the zebra from the Critters on the Savanna set to create a unicorn. I inked up the zebra then took my finger and removed the ink from the front ear and part of the mane. After stamping it, I  used a Copic liner to draw in the horn and finish the area. I masked off the unicorn and stamped in the fairy like she was riding on his back.  I stamped another fairy to place her face in front of the mane. I colored my image with Copics and fussy cut it out. I die cut two cloud borders, one from a piece of copy paper to sponge in the sunshine and one from Neenah card stock for my card front. I cut the sentiment apart from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends set and used my Misti to line it up straight. I thought my little fairy needed to be a princess so I stamped the crown for the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You set and colored it with a gold gel pen and fussy cut it out as well. I added Gold gel pen to the unicorn's horn and Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings.

Good Coffee Bookmark

I started out wanting to make a card but ended up with a bookmark. I was inspired by the back wall of the inspiration challenge at Sugarpea Designs blog challenge and created the circle. I took a sentiment from the Caffeine Addict set and curved it around to fit onto my circle. I cut 2 COFFEE's from the Coffee Words Die set and adhered them together.  I scored some lines into the circle to resemble shiplap.  I die cut my coffee cup from the Coffee to Go Cup Die set and stamped the good... from part of a sentiment from the Espresso Yourself set.  I couldn't make a card work so I decided to die cut a bookmark, stamp some coffee beans from the Espresso Yourself, punch a hole in the top and finish it with some ribbon.

Turning ONE

I finally got my second Neat & Tangled stamp set a couple of weeks ago and wanted to use it for this month's birthday challenge. I stamped, colored, and fussy cut my dinosaurs.  I used a stylus on the back of my images. By taking the stylus to the back of an image over a soft mouse pad, it creates a little extra dimension and rounds it out.  I added a small piece of foam tape to the center of the rounded area to keep it popped up.  I cut the baby dino's legs apart so I can  have him sitting on the mother's back.  I die cut my sentiment letters out of Doodlebug dp and layered 3 extra white die cut letters underneath for dimension. I took a matching Copic marker to the edge of the white letters and glued the dp onto the top.

Stamps: Neat & Tangled Prehistoric stamp set, Stampendous balloon chick (I just used the balloon)
Supplies: Oval die (not sure which one, found the card front in my stash already cut), Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABC lowercase alphabet dies, foam tape, stylus, mouse pad, Doodlebug dot-grid-daisy-stripe-rainbow petite prints 6x6 paper pad, Neenah white card stock, Memento black ink, Copic Markers: YG03, 05, 06, 09, B04, 06, Y13, 18, YR02, 04, 07.

Purple Wishes

I used one digital stamp and one clear stamp set for the Power Poppy's Mix and Match challenge. I created my background using two of the Cuppa Buttercups flowers. I colored them with Copic Markers and die cut a butterfly from each corner. I layered two addition white butterflies under each butterfly to pop them up just a bit. I stamped my sentiment from the Natural Beauties clear stamp set using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform.

Monster-ous Wishes

Today's one layer card uses the Gerda Steiner progressive Birthday Monster digital stamp. I printed, colored and fussy cut him out. The background is sponged and splattered with Tim Holtz squeezed lemonade Distress ink. The splatter was created by adding distress ink to my craft mat and spritzing with some water. I dipped the toothbrush into it and ran my finger across the bristles over my card front. The light splatter blends in and makes the sentiment pop against the brighter white on the bottom. The Birthday Monster is popped up using an Action Wobble.
